Caution in chenille yarn dyeing process

Dyed chenille yarn is the main item in chenille yarn international trade, the importacne of chenille yarn dyeing process can never been stressed enough.

With below points.

1/ chenille yarn Lot number: when dyeing work involves two or more Lots, certain mark must be made on each lot of chenille yarn and put in different location.

    To avoid mixure use of RW chenille yarn.

2/ direction of chenille yarn pile: because of the “reflection effect” of chenille yarn, strict control of pile direction of chenille yarn must be maintainer during dyeing and rewinding work.

3/ chenille yarn sample dyeing: before any bulk dyeing work, sample dyeing test work is a must. The purpose not only lies in check the color matching, but also in checking chenille yarn feather condition after dyeing.

4/ chenille yarn dyeing effect and shape:

Spray vat dyeing makes round section chenille yarn with soft hand feeling.

With Vertical cylinder dyeing, chenille yarn is fixed, and dyed chenille yarn shape is flat with hard hand feeling.

5/ chenille yarn dyeing shrinkage: chenille yarn will shrinkage in dyeing process. Different material of chenille yarn will have different shrinkage rate, for example: acrylic chenille rate is 3-5%. So weaving mill to make yarn dyed chenille fabric should take in consideration the shrinkage effect for it will affect the finished chenille yarn dyed fabric.
